Behind the work,
there’s a person.

Hello, I’m Socheat—you can call me Robin.

I’m Socheat Leang, Co-founder of MEKA Asia. Robin is the nickname I use when working with international teams. I connect technology with business goals and turn ideas into useful products.

I started in technology because I love solving problems and building things people can use. Across 12+ years in software development, my team and I have delivered 50+ client projects. Over time, I realized I wanted to bring my own ideas to life, create opportunities, and solve real problems through entrepreneurship.

At MEKA Asia, I lead our vision, product strategy, and technology direction. I’m building practical digital solutions, including MekaCard, to help businesses and professionals connect, communicate, and grow.

I’m originally from Srey Sonthor District, Kompong Cham Province, Cambodia, where I completed Bac II at Srey Sonthor High School. Those roots are part of a journey that has taken me through software engineering, technical leadership, and now building a company.

Learning across teams and cultures

For nearly a decade, I’ve worked with international companies and teams. From training and working with Japanese engineers to collaborating with teams in Singapore and Malaysia, those experiences have shaped how I communicate, collaborate, and approach delivery.

At Slash Foundry, I gained valuable experience in Agile project management. Working with Kanban, mentoring developers, and coordinating with the Singapore team helped me connect hands-on development with the way a project is organized and delivered. I continued to build on those practices through technical leadership and product management.

How I work

My strengths are technology, product thinking, and problem-solving. I enjoy connecting technical decisions to business goals and helping a team turn an idea into a working product that creates real value.

I believe in ownership, continuous learning, and honesty. I value action, strong relationships, and teamwork—and I want the products I build to solve meaningful problems.

I never want to stop learning. As a mentee in the Entrepreneurship Mentor Development (EMD) Program, I’m seeking new perspectives, stronger connections, and guidance to help me grow alongside my business.

Beyond the screen

Outside work, I enjoy staying active through soccer, running, and training at the gym. I also love cooking, fishing, and traveling—making time to recharge, explore, and connect with people.

I’m naturally curious about new technologies and business ideas, and I enjoy learning from different experiences and cultures. When my community needs support, I’m always willing to volunteer and lend a hand.

Thanks for taking a little time to get to know me.
